Welcome friend, International Dutch Open
This years trip to Holland took me to Valkenburg for their first annual International Dutch Open Street Painting Festival. The event brought together street painters from all over Europe and the US. Despite a big delay due to rainy Dutch weather, I won 3rd Place for my original painting titled "Unconscious Rivals".
10th Birthday for Via Arte
Via Arte in Bakersfield celebrated it's 10th birthday this October. I was happy to participate as a guest artist and painted a lovely piece by Italian artist Pompeo Batoni. The painting titled "War and Peace" turned out to be one of my favorites of the year.
Workshop at Waggoner
Thank you to Waggoner elementary school in Tempe Arizona for having me out to teach a day of Street Painting Academy Workshops to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. I had a great time and the paintings turned out beautfiul. Special thanks to Holly for making it all possible.
Via Colori, Scottsdale
Last year I was invited to be the Featured artist in Scottsdale, Arizona's first street painting festival. The Via Colori event had me out to Arizona to hold two street painting workshops to teach tips and tricks to their artists. The workshops paid off and everyone did a great job with their work creating a beautiful mosaic of imagery in the parking lot of the Stagebrush Theatre. I designed and painted an image titled "Leda and the Swan" for the event.
Via Colori, Houston
This will be my third year painting for the Houston Via Colori festival. It's a great event that benefits the Center for Hearing and Speech which teaches hearing impaired children to communicate without the use of sign language.
